Calling the UN to draft a Declaration on the Rights of Mother Earth
GARN Youth is taking the lead in calling on the United Nations to adopt a Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth.
This movement is inspired by the Cochabamba People’s Agreement and already has the support of over 300,000 people worldwide. Now, we are aiming higher than ever before — 1 million signatures by COP30.
Why? Because we believe that a livable, just future requires more than human rights— it requires recognizing and defending the rights of Nature herself.
That’s why we’re stepping up, and we need all of you with us.
Here’s how you can help:
✔ Sign the petition: Add your voice to the global youth call for the UN to adopt this declaration.
✔ Share it: Talk about it, post on your social media. You can even print our posters, and put them up on the walls of your communities, universities, etc.
✔ Create content: Reels, videos, poems, photos — express why this matters to you. Do not forget the hashtags: #RightsOfMotherEarth #Youth4Nature
✔ Download our social media toolkit we made to make it easy for you to spread the message. Tag us @garnglobal @garnyouthhub so we can amplify your voice!
Let’s show world leaders that this generation won’t stay silent. We are ready to stand for Earth’s rights, and we're not stopping until the UN listens.
