The UN General Assembly hosted an Interactive Dialogue: Ways to promoting a holistic approach to sustainable development in harmony with nature on April 20, 2011.
During his statements to the General Assembly, entitled Governing People for Earth, the Challenge of the 21st Century, Cormac Cullinan posted the questions:
“How do we re-orientate industrialised societies so that they pursue human well-being in a manner that contributes to the health of Earth instead of undermining it? In other words – how do we live in harmony with Nature?”
Cormac went on to set the context and present the case for Rights of Nature.
