Earth Law Conference on Sustainability New Zealand Centre for Public Law VUW Law School, Wellington, 14-16 February 2014
Three organisations are coming together for the 3-day weekend of February 14-16:
The Earth Law Alliance Aotearoa NZ and the German Australian Pacific Lawyers Association are combining to hold a conference on Sustainability, from Friday February 14 until Sunday February 16, 2014.
The Resource Management Law Association of New Zealand will also hold the RMLA Academic Advisory Group 2nd annual Symposium for the presentation of recent and forthcoming research on Friday 14th February (10am-4pm).
The Sustainability conference will open with a keynote speech from Klaus Bosselmann on Friday at 5:30. Saturday will be devoted to keynote speeches and plenary panels on environmental bills of rights, on legal incorporation of indigenous perspectives on the environment, and on the effects of climate change.
On Sunday Feb 16 there will be a range of panels on topics yet to be determined. This Call for Papers is for anyone who wants to present a paper and/or organise a panel on the Sunday, on a topic in keeping with the conference themes of sustainability, earth jurisprudence, and/or new approaches to environmental law.
Please send your panel or paper proposal (eg, abstract of 100-200 words) to the Earth Law Convenor, Catherine.iorns@vuw.ac.nz, by October 31, 2013.
