The 5th International Rights of Nature Tribunal to be held in Chile, December 5th, 2019.

The cases that will be presented during this session are the following:
1) Lithium mining in the Atacama Desert – Chile
2) Threats to Patagonia: water and life reserve – Chile
3) Privatization of water: water as an object in Chile
These three cases will be fully presented and tried during the 5th session of Tribunal. The Tribunal will hear two additional cases: Amazon (multiple countries) and Vaca Muerta (Argentina). The presentation of these cases will initiate a process of investigation and fact finding to obtain evidence and data to be presented and tried at a future Tribunal.
The judges confirmed for the 5th session of the International Rights of Nature Tribunal, Santiago, Chile are the following:
